  • Tech / Entertainment
  • UI/UX Design, Marketing, Branding
  • OBJECTIVES
  • Through research, we noticed that there was an interest from teachers to be able to use StoryBots content to better engage their students in the classroom. We wanted to create a product that met the needs of teachers, students, and parents.
  • CHALLENGES
  • Serve the needs of teachers, students, and parents
  • Find a way to grow the subscriber base through a network of teachers
  • Set up the experience to be used in both the classroom and at home

User Personas

Partnered with Focus Labs to develop the user research and wireframes for the new website. Through our research, we recognized that there were 3 key user types that our product needed to reach. We focused heavily on user 1 since their need was greatest and we could reach them through teacher conventions and grow a network amongst educators.

Sitemaps & User Flows

I developed two different sitemaps for the new site, one for teachers in the classroom and one for students at home. This helped us to see the big picture between the classroom experience and the take-home experience to make sure they were consistent but distinctly different.

Wireframes

High-fidelity wireframes were made for desktop, tablet, and mobile iterations to make sure we were focused on designing a responsive site that worked on all devices, as teachers often have access to limited resources.

UI Design

I designed the UI Style Guide for the entire site including thumbnails, buttons, color palette, typography, spacing, backgrounds, and input fields. Below are the final designs for the site.

Teacher Items

In an effort to encourage in classroom use, we sent out emails and printable pages letting teachers know how this new product could be used to benefit their students as well as fun instructions on how to use the site.
